The Gale Hose Company was founded in 1898 when John B. Gale donated the funds to buy a hose cart for Williamstown firefighters.
Since then, the Gale Hose Company has evolved into an organization that supports Williamstown firefighters, aids local organizations, and maintains memorials to past firefighters.
The Gale Hose Company Today
The Gale Hose Company evolved from providing personnel to the Williamstown Fire District to become a social and benevolent organization. The Company donates to organizations for those in need, such as our local food pantries, provides directly to firefighters and their families who may have trouble making ends meet, and works hard to preserve and honor the legacy of our local firefighters through historical preservation and cemetery remembrance.
